I run hurdles in Jr. High and I am practising with 2 hurdles that my mom borrowed for me. She thinks the distance to set the hurdles is 42 feet for the first and then 27 feet between the 1st and 2nd hurdle. I can find out from the coach tomorrow in school but I am practising now.
Do you know? Thank you.
Erin
Answer Erin,
Very sorry it took so long to respond. Your Mom is right; the 100 meter hurdles are 13 meters (42 ft. 8 inches) to the first hurdle, 8.5 meters (27 ft. 11 inches) between the hurdles, and 10.5 meters (34 ft. 6 inches) from the last hurdle to the finish.
Good luck to you!
Casey
