Transgender/Transsexual - Am i Transgendered

Question
Ever since 3 years ago i havce been jealous of all the girls ive seen. I am a 16 year old male now and live in New York City. I like to crossdress a lot and always imagine have sex with a male. Even in school i can imagine getting fucked in the bathroom all the time, in women's clothing.
I like to give my self Anal and sometimes video-record myself crossdressed and fucking my ass with a toy. I seem to really like being a girl, from makeup to shaving my legs, to wanting to kiss a boy.
Heres the problem: In public, i like girls! I think at least... I have hooked up with a few girls but i have a small penis (4 inches), and i shy away if they want to go further.
Then, when i think about it, i wish i was the girl offering a guy a blowjob since i constantly dream about cocks.
Here is my question, Am i transgendered? Should i come out to my parents and tell them that i wish to be a girl. They would be shocked but they wouldnt disown me probably ;). However, if i do come out i want to be positive that i wish to be a girl. Whens the latest i can begin my transformation so that i am a very pretty girl? I would like to get it done before college, or work, so i can enter as a woman. Everyday i dream about being a girl!! Please help me!

Answer
Hi Carmen

Transitioning to become a girl takes time and a great deal of support as well as financial resources and it is quite far removed from being a cross dresser in the comfort of your bedroom where anything is possible.

From what you say you certainly fit within the transgender spectrum though quite where only a therapist can help you discover.

I would advise you to talk things over with your family doctor in the first instance or even a counsellor at your high school to see if you can get some talk therapy to help you work out where you stand.

Much of what you say is related to sexual pleasure and most transsexual people do not have that sexual drive, particularly with regards to fantasies about them being with men.

You do not say whether you have acted upon any of these impulses and ventured out as a girl and describe how you felt. Transvestites and cross dressers have persistent urges to fantasize and masturbate whilst dressed as a girl and it might well be you are a bisexual male cross dresser. if this is the case , count yourself fortunate since you can generally live a fulfilled life as a male and indulge your fantasies about being a girl in your spare time.

After you have had some therapy you will be closer to knowing where on the spectrum you are and perhaps feel more calm as a result. I would strongly advise you not to discuss this with your parents until you have discussed it further with a trained professional since once you have let the genie out of the bottle, you cannot put it back.

Your dreams might well lead to greater fulfillment as a woman but I can assure you that transsexual women on the whole get less attention from men post operatively and often remain attracted to women. On the other hand, bisexual male transvestites are never short of male admirers who are themselves bisexual men who are happy to suspend belief to keep the whole experience seem as if it is a man/woman situation.

I would also suggest to you that the possession of a small penis is no block to a successful relationship with a woman and you should try hard to mix more with women not least so you might find a trusted friend with whom you might be able to share what is at present your own secret.

Good luck.

Natasha
