Question
do female lesbians ever refer to each other as husband and wife?or does one call herself  the "male"
or is that only for transgendered
or is it even for a dominant butch partner in a lesbian couple who was born a girl?

Answer
There is no specific one answer to your question, so in reality the answer might be yes, no or maybe.

Ultimately gay people have no need to define their relationships using hetero-normative gender specific roles unless they are more comfortable with those gender roles and names like husband and wife.

Lesbians partners can be both identifiably femme, butch or anything in between and so you cannot say. People should be allowed to choose their own definitions and names within their relationships.
