Question
QUESTION: Hi dear,
my que.is that I want to go jaisalmair with my car along with my two babies ( 2 yrs & 9 yrs )in dewali vacation. So which is the nearest road and in good condition. I am Jain, so if you have any tel.number of jain dharamsala to stay and will book room for me then kindly give me. Thanks & wait for your reply.

ANSWER: Hi Nirvi,

As you have not mentioned the place from where you have to go to Jaisalmer so it is difficult to give you a route suggestion, but you need to get to Jodhpur first and from there on you can travel to Jaiselmar. The approx. distance is 300 kms and there are nice roads all the way.

I will not be albe to give you tel number of Jain Dharamshala there.

Cheers!!

Ravi

QUESTION: Dear Ravi,
I am staying at Ahmedabad.

Answer
Hi Nirvi,

You need to take the AHmedabad Mehsana Palanpur Highway and from there on turn towards Dessa and catch NH 15 towards Barmer and all the way to Jaisalmer.

If possible buy the Eicher Road map of India, it is pretty detailed and is good help just to assure you that you are moving in the right direction.

This is not a very busy highway so make sure you carry good quantity of bottled water and stuff to eat along the way as you may not find great places to eat on en route especially after you cross over from Gujarat to Rajasthan.

Have a great trip.

Ravi
