Question i have to organise a small 3 day trip for my department in college....people prefer destinations with cooler weather as delhi is awfully hot at this time....the dates are tentatively 15-17th august....the trip cant be very expensive...maxing out at about 2k per person....i have looked at a few places like dharamshala and palanpur...it seems it maybe too wet in dharamshala and palanpur maybe too far....
can u pls suggest some suitable destinations....pls consider the time and cost restrictions...it would be lovely if a youth hostel or something similar would be available fr accommodation....
regards

Answer Hello Akshay,
You don't say where you are from so I'm assuming that you from Delhi or somewhere in north India.
Can I suggest the hill-station of LANSDOWNE in the hills of UTTARANCHAL. The Mussoorie Express that goes to Dehra Dun from Delhi has bogies that detach at Najeebabad and go on to KOTDWARA. From there its a short bus ride to Lansdowne.
It will be wet everywhere you go in India - it's the monsoon. Please search the internet for LANSDOWNE, UTTARANCHAL and you will get some useful leads.
Hope this helps and have a great college trip.
Nilesh.
