Though the distance from Mangalore is shorter, it takes a lot of time traveling due the terrain and the state of road. Hence it is advisable to chose the route via Mysore since the roads are in good condition.

For the stay, we can check out The Casiita in Kushalnagar. It is close to most of the must visit places of Coorg.

I can answer questions pertaining to travelling in the northern part of India, especially Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. You can also ask me about travelling to Coorg, Mahabaleshwar, Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat.

I have travelled extensively in Northern India and have lived for 23 years in Rajasthan and have explored almost all the places one can go to. I can guide you to all those unexplored areas which are not on the map but are worth visiting.
