Answer The dog should be able to leave UK with you as excess baggage. Much
cheaper than cargo. Check with the various airlines.
To enter USA, all you need is a health cert issued within 10 days of
travel and a valid rabies vac. Your EU pet passport will be very
helpful.
Then, should you ever consider returning to UK, Just make sure the
dog receives its annual rabies booster shot every 11months, then
you will have no problem returning to UK with him
