Question We will be relocating from India to Montreal-Canada next month. We would like to take our Dog with us. Please could you lets us know the injections etc we need to give our dog+ the qurantine procedure, cost etc. Thanking you,
Mrs Kapur
Answer You will need a health cert issued within 10 days of travel. Rabies
vac at least 30 days old and less than 1 yr. Dog should be current
on ALL vaccinations, and recommend microchip, though not required.
There is NO quarantine.
You MUST check with Canadian Embassy or consulate near you for
any new updates. Also, the airline you travel on. They are
required to view your paperwork.
If you can bring dog as excess baggage, do so as it is much cheaper
and dog would clear customs with you. Cargo is the other option.
