Travel with Pets - Relocating dogs from Houston to Al-Khobar
Expert: jerry mishler - 10/26/2009
Question Hello Jerry, I´m in the same situation than ¨Tracie- relocating from Houston Texas to Dhahran¨. This post is dated 09-01-08. My husband and I are trying to decide what the best (and no expensive) way to move our dogs to Al-Khobar is. My husband got one budget from a pet relocating company which is pretty big high. From reading your post...does all the paperwork take so long that it can expire? How did Tracie´s case end up, did she move the dogs by herself? Any steps I can follow? I appreciate any guidance or tips. Thanks in advance.
Answer Hi Cecilia
I do not remember Tracie or how her situation worked out. Most people contact me once with this
AllExpert thing, pick my brain, what is there, and I never hear back !!
I do know that getting to Saudi just is NOT easy
I suggest that you visit: www.ipata.com There are several firms both in Dubai and Doha
who will have much better info and advice for entry into DMM
If you need help in Houston try Animal Port tel 281.821 1128
www.pettransport.com These firms can all be very expensive, so try to do what you can
yourself. Pets going thru Dubai MUST travel ONLY as cargo. Thru Doha, they could go as
excess baggage.
Pets going as cargo will be charged according to size of shipping kennel.
What do you have? I don't know as to the paperwork taking too long to get done... Can you tell
me more?
What price did you get from another pet shipper? Who was it?
Let me know how else I can help, and how this works out
Regards, Jerry Mishler
