AboutVíctor Díaz Expertise I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links.
I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.
Question My husband are travewlling to Seville, Cordoba & Granda in early October. My husband is arecovering alcoholic of 20 years. Although he doesn't mind at all if people drink around him, I'm afraid meals & nightlife in Spain will be difficult & he'll feel like a freak because he doesn't drink any alcohol. Can yoy comment for the areas we're visiting? Thank you!
Answer Hello Kristen
Part of the fun in this areas is eating tapas while drinking wines or beers, but of course is not compulsory to order an alcoholic drink.
I personally dislike beer and wines so i use to drink non-alcoholic in meals and 'tapeo' (trying tapas at many different bars)
For example, Non-alcoholic beer = "cerveza sin alcohol" , "Mosto" (grapes juice, non alcoholic) and any refreshing drink, these can be found at any bar in spain.
For Sevilla and Cordoba i have no personal experience, for Granada try streets around Plaza Nueva (calle Elvira).
For meals ordering water instead of wine is not a problem.
