I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.

Travel to Spain - Travel from London to Barcelona

Question
Hi, i'm planning to go from london-barcelona-rome.
I have sourced out couple of budget flight tickets to barcelona but was confused with the Reus Airport and Girona Airport. Which airport is easier and convenient for me to get to the city in Barcelona?

Answer
Hello Andrew

My bet is for Girona airport, which is mostly used to get to Barcelona using some lowcost as ryanair.
Both are about  100km from Barcelona and have direct buses between the airport and Barna.

Information for Reus
http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite?cid=1076318132672&pagename=subHome&SMO=1&SiteN...

Information for Girona
http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite?pagename=subHome&Language=EN_GB&c=Page&SiteNam...

This is the information in the Aena website about buses to Barna
Buses Girona airport->Barcelona:

Airport - Barcelona Line
Ryanair Buses that link Girona-Costa Brava Airport with Barcelona (Estación del Norte, next to the Arco de Triunfo).

Journey duration:
   1 hour and 10 minutes.
Timetable:
   According to flight schedule.
You can consult the departure and arrival times, as well as fares, on the Sagalés
http://www.sagales.com/index.php?Origen=cp315&Desti=315&secc=cerca
it has clear  schedules and prices

while the line connecting Reus airport and Barna
http://www.autocarsplana.com/
doesn't offer clear information.

I would do Girona as there is a clear schedule of buses connecting to Barcelona, and have read that many people do it without complains.

I hope this helps.
