I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.

Travel to Spain - travel from Alicante airport to Yorrevieja

Expert: Víctor Díaz - 8/19/2008

Question
I need to travel from the airport at Alicante to Torrevieja. I understand there is no bus directly from the airport and I will need to go to Alicante first. But does the bus go to the bus station in Alicante? And does a bus leave from there too? I have some mobility problems so will not be able to walk a long distance. Thank you!

Answer
Hello Moira

I have the information taken from internet as i have never been in Alicante.

Yes, you have to get first to Alicante in order to go to the airport.

Line torrevieja-alicante

http://www.costazul.net/Lineatorrevieja.htm

according to Aena
http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite?cid=1049437849176&pagename=subHome&SiteName=AL...

Subus links the Alicante airport with the city of Alicante
line C6
http://www.subus.es/index.asp
with stops at
Plaza del Mar-Avenida Juan Bautista Lafora-Rambla Méndez Núñez-Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio-Plaza de los Luceros-Avenida Federico Soto-C/ Reyes Católicos- Avenida Óscar Esplá-Avenida Elche-Estación de Tren-Oficina de Patentes-Agua Amarga-Matadero-Carretera N 340-Airport (opposite arrivals and departures).

as you canb see in this map, bus station is close to C/Reyes catolicos which should have an stop for this line somewhere along the street
http://maps.google.es/maps?f=q&hl=es&geocode=&q=alicante,+reyes+catolicos&sll=38...

i hope this helps a bit
