Question
Having Googled the question, I found your suggestions to be the most interesting to your other inquirers. I am interested in learning more about your 3 days in Barcelona and 5 days in Seville, Granada and Cordoba option. Please advise whther you think we should drive ourselves and where you recommend staying, as well as any other suggestions you can think of. Thank you. We will be en route to a trade fair in Paris and taking the opportunity to visit Spain for the first time. Thanks and Regards.

Answer
Hello Alan

With this 8 days a visit to these 4 cities is perfectly possible, and you'll even be able to save some time if you manage to arrive to Barcelona dn leave Spain from Sevilla, but if you can't then the logical tour would be Barcelona-Granada-Sevilla-Barcelona.

You'll  need to book hotels/hostals in Barcelona, Granada and Sevilla.
To chooe an hotel/hostal adequate to your needs and budget i recommend to use some of the links i give below where you'll find listing of hotels and also use the reviews given at tripadvisor.

Barcelona is a big city, your hotel/hostal don't need necessarily to be centrical,if it has a nearby metro station, but the most centrical the better if you want to enjoy also nightlife.
Sevilla the most centrical the better, there isn't metro yet (under construction) in the city and you should use buses if you stay too far from the center. The same applies for Granada.

To get from Barcelona to Granada you may use lowcost Vueling.
In this link it gives you information about the Granada airport, companies operating there, how to get to Granada with public transport, etc.

I recommend flying to Granada given the long distance to Barcelona and the fact that with a low cost it's not very expensive.

From Granada you may get to Sevilla by train easily.

Cordoba: as a daytrip from Sevilla, you may get there fastly with high speed trains. Check renfe website.

From Sevilla to Barcelona, flying again, the information on the Sevilla airport;

Some other thoughts:
Book tickets for Alhanbra in advance if possible to avoid queues.
The online system to book tickets is carried out by La Caixa spanish bank that you can trust.

In Cordoba you may do the daily tour bus to nearby ruins of Medina Azahara, very interesting
