G'day Victor,
My husband (who is Spanish) and I will arrive in Madrid on December 24 this year for 3-4 days. We have been there before and hope to live there in a couple of years time. Meanwhile,what do you suggest we do on Christmas Day? I am afraid all the restaurants will be closed and we will be stuck in our hotel for the day.

Hello Helen
a difficult question yours as you probably seen everything of interest in Madrid. Day 25 most things will be closed, probably along the afternoon many bars will begin to open again as usual.
I think the only thing you can do is stroll in the streets of the center or visit the Retiro park area.
Sincerilly i have not too much ideas now. I recommend you to post this question ins ome forums such as fodors or tripadvisor where you could get some good ideas.
