Travel to Spain - Sevilla from Italy

Expert: Sílvia Martino - 10/28/2009

Question
Hi there!

First, thank you for offering to help!  Secondly, I'll be coming to Spain from Italy with only four nights to travel the country (I know pathetic, but better than nothing).  It's my first trip to Spain so I would like to get the survey course, quickly traveling the country.

Ideally I would like to travel from Sevilla to Valencia to Madrid to Barcelona where I fly out on the fifth day.

1. Is this even sort of feasible?
2. Any idea of cheap airfare sites for flights from Rome/Florence/Milan to Sevilla?
3. Is the best and most feasible method for my proposed itinerary train or renting a car/moped/scooter?

THANK YOU!
Kelsey

Answer
Hi Kelsey!!,
Here you have the answers:

1. Is this even sort of feasible?
If you're coming only for 4 days, I would forget Valencia, and go only to Sevilla, Madrid and Barcelona.
If you get a morning flight to Sevilla, you can more or less visit the city the same day, and leavo on day 2 to Madrid (with ave fast train around 2 and a hlaf hours). you stay in Madrid the rest of day 2 and on day 3, you take again fast train to Barcelona (3 hours), so yu have day 4 to visit barcelona. It's a bit short stay, but as you said, better than nothing. If you need more information toplan your visits or need hotels near the railway station, so you don't lose time moving around pls,let me know.

2. Any idea of cheap airfare sites for flights from Rome/Florence/Milan to Sevilla?
There are Iberia flights from Rome and Milan, www.iberia.es
Ryanair flyes from Milan, Pisa and Bolongna   www.ryanair.com
Spanair flyes from Naples, Florence and Milan  www.spanair.com
Vueling flyes from ROme, Naples, Milán, Naples and Verona www.vueling.com

3. Is the best and most feasible method for my proposed itinerary train or renting a car/moped/scooter?
Better train, it is fast and not too expensive. If you need me to make reservations, jus email me. tahnks
