Answer
Hello Usha

I have checked your hotel, all indications to get there are assuming you have a car, but there is public transport too.

The nearest train station is about 1km from the hotel, is a 'cercanias' (local trains) station, i would sayt it is Benalmadena-Arroyo de la Miel station

You may consider renting a car for your daytrips, since the cost of renting an small car + gasoline + parking may be similar to tickets for 4 adults to the destinations.

Other interesting spots in the area such as  towns along the coast, Mijas, Ronda and other white villages are better to do by car as public transport is not as good.

For Granada you should get to Malaga by train or bus. Malaga-Maria Zambrano is the malaga central station and it is located side by side with the bus station, which is very convenient to transfer to bus in some trips,as this to Granada.

Local trains 'cercanias' works as a metro system, no reserved seats and must buy tickets at the station. Check the train schedule for the day of the trip in the link i gave you above.

By bus with Portillo

Malaga-Granada is best by bus, is faster, since there is no direct train from Malaga.
buses to Granada with Alsa

Bus station at Granada is not very centrical, you may take a local bus to the center or a taxi.
By bus takes 2h and cost 9,76 and round trip 19,52.

Sevilla, again from Malaga
by bus takes 2h45 and cost  15,77  and round trip   28,39
Arriving to Sevilla-Prado de San Sebastian bus station (2 bus stations in sevilla).
By train takes 2h and cost from 34,65, with some discount for round trips.

I hope this helps a bit.

I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.
