Question
Hello,
I want to travel from Granada to Jerez de la Frontera. I have been told that it is a long and complicated trip. Using public transportation, what means are recommended as most convenient - bus or train or a combination of the two?
I am a mature woman travelling solo. Interested in ease of travel as well as low cost.
Thank you.

Answer
Hello Sameach

There are no direct trains  to Jerez from Granada, there is only one direct bus, if that bus doesn't fit your needs  you will need a combination  two trains or buses or both.

direct bus with alsa

GRANADA     JEREZ     18:30    23:15     cost 26,82

By train you will need to get a train to Sevilla and from there to Jerez.

By bus, a similar combination,
Granada-Sevilla with Alsa, many buses daily arriving to Prado de SanSebastian bus station.

and with Comes buses to Jerez from the same bus station in Sevilla

I hope this helps.

I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.
