Travel to Spain - Public buses from Mucia/Alicante to La Zenia

Hi, i was hoping you would be able to advise me how easy it is to get from Alicante airport and Murcia airport to La Zenia at the beginning of July 2009.
It would be handy to know how frequently the buses go from these two locations to La Zenia during the week and at the weekend and how much it is likely to cost. This would be really useful to know. Many thanks Gemma Pitman

Hello Gemma

La Zenia belongs to Orihuela, in the province of Alicante. Seems it is easier to get there by public transport from Torrevieja, and thus from Alicante airport, rather that from Murcia airport (located at San Javier, not close to Murcia city). By car San Javier airport is much closer than Alicante airport.

Costa azul is one of the main operators in the area

but i couldn't find a bus stop at La Zenia, despite an hotel in the area tells there are buses near to Torrevieja.

Costa Azul has a line with stops somewhere at La Zenia

here it is shown the schdules from monday to friday and saturdays. Seems that holidays and sundays there are no buses in this line.
