I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.

Question
Hi Victor,

I was also wondering, what is the fastest/cheapest/easiest way to travel between Seville and Madrid. We were thinking by bus but couldn't find a site in english where we could reserve tickets or even look at a timetable. Do you have any recommendations/advice or references?

Thank you so much!
-Amy

Answer
Hello Amy

Most people choose train (high speed) to travel between MAdrid and Sevilla.
If you purchase online and in advance you may have som Estrella or Web offers with interesting discounts.
Renfe site is not very user-friendly and more with the poor english version, there is a guide about how to buy tickets online here

Tickets without discounts from 60,80euros. Travel takes 2h30.

By bus with Socibus
http://www.socibus.es
no english version available

click on 'rutas y horarios'
origen: select 'Sevilla'
destino: select 'Madrid'
tarifa: ida as default, select 'ida y vuelta' for a round ticket
fecha: select the date of the travel
Nº plazas: nr of tickets

you will be given the schedule for that date, departure (salida) arrival (llegada) and cost (around 19,40). It takes about 6h.

Departure station in Sevilla is 'Plaza de armas' (there is another bus station in Sevilla). Arrival station in Madrid is 'Estacion sur autobuses' located at mendez alvaro metro station (L6) during this summer this staion may be closed for renovations in the L6 line, buses with no additional cost will replace the service in the meantime.
