Question
Is the travel on the hgih speed train from Lisbon to Madrid a worthwhile and comfortable experience?

Are you available for a fee to show my family of three around Madrid and other areas

Answer
Hello Charles

There is no high speed line between Lisboa and Madrid, it's currently under construction and will took several years to be completed.

There is currently only one train Lisboa-Madrid, it's called Lusitania and it's an overnight train,

There are also buses, but giving the long distance i recommend flying, there are several companies including lowcost.

I'm not a tourist guide. You may join one of the tours offered by the tourism ofice in Madrid

Also in your hotel you may ask for guided tours to Toledo or Segovia, but you can do them easily by your own.

i hope this helps a bit.

I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.
