Travel to Spain/barcelona in dec

Question
Hi,

I'm visiting barcelona and madrid this first week of December to about the third week. What will the weather be like in both places? What kind of clothing should we pack?

Also, we haven't settled our accommodation for this trip, but we are looking at a low to mid-range budget trip, with about 800 Euros for a 12 to 14 days accommodation. Anywhere to recommend?

Appreciate the help given.

Thanks!

Answer
Hi, Charmaine,

As for the weather:

Barcelona has a mild climate, so even in December it is not freezing, normally. Maybe 11ºC... So pack some polar and a normal coat, but that's it.

Madrid, on the contrary CAN be really cold... on the "meseta", it has kind of a continental climate. If the wind blows, it can get to your bones...

Now as for accommodation, my friend Silvia can help you with good value proposals... mail her at silvia.martino@barcelona-on-line.es (I'll tell her about your trip). Do let her know your exact dates !!!

Cheers, have a nice trip !!

Franck
