I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.

Travel to Spain - taxi cost to St Jean Pied du Port

Expert: Víctor Díaz - 9/7/2009

Question
I have rented a car from Madrid Airport.  I will be driving to San Sebastian on 9/10.  I will return the car to San Sebastian airport on the morning of 9/11.  I was planning to take the taxi from the airport to Hendaye, France and then take the train to Bayonne and another train to St. Jean Pied du Port to start my camino.  Unfortunately the first train from Bayonne to St. Jean Pied du Port does not leave until 15:06 (unless I have read the train schedule wrong).  I want to arrive at St. Jean du Port by noon of September 11.  So I may have to take a taxi from the airport of San Sebastian all the way to St. Jean Pied du Port. I was wondering how much it would cost.  There are four of us all together.

Thanks for all your help.
Diane

Answer
I have no idea of hoe much could cost a taxi to sJ du Port, the only reliable information i have found is at the San Sebastian airport site, and tells that a taxi to Biarritz airport cost around 62euros,  SJdPort is at much more distance than Biarritz... you can have an idea of the cost now, a lot!

Another way of transport could be a bus from the airport to Donostia/San Sebastian (or a taxi) and then another bus to Bayona
