Question
Hi victor,
can you help us please. We live on the Mar Menor. Our youngest daughter and her family are going to Menorca for their annual holiday this year.We would like to visit them for a few days as a surprise.
It would appear that the only way to travel to Menorca from us is to fly from Valencia via Ryan Air.
Do you know of train details or of another method of us getting there.
Many thanks for your help.
Regards,
Mick & Paula.

Answer
Hello Mick

By train seems you have two trains daily from Baliscas-MarMenor to Valencia

   00264 TALGO   13.11   17.08   3 h. 57 min.
    14202 MD   16.55   20.40   3 h. 45 min.

To find this schedule you must select Balsicas by clicking in the "find all stations" as it is not listed in the dropdown menu with the main stations.

By bus, there are no buses from Balsicas to Valenica, i have tried to find from Cartagena but i couldn't find any. From Murcia you have many buses to Valencia with alsa
http://www.alsa.es/
takes betwen 3h15 and 4h and cost 16,66euros

How to get to the Valencia Airport?
From the train station (Valencia-Nord station) walk out to Xativa street and you will find Metro station Xativa just outside the station
http://www.metrovalencia.es

Take Line 3 or 5 to Aeroport  station. Takes about 22minutes.

If you arrive by bus, you will be at the Valencia bus station. as you exit the station you will find metro at 50m to your right. Metro station Turia. Take a tain  of L1 to Angel guimerá sattion and there change to L3 or L5 to aeroport

In valencia metro several lines use the same tracks specially in the center of the city, in your case there is no problem as the destination is shared.

I hope this helps a bit.

I live in Madrid, and travel frequently to Valencia. I have also travelled to many places all over spain, if haven't been there i'd try to help anyway providing my knowledge and links. I enjoy trekking in the mountains, and know pyrinees, Picos de Europa and mountains in the center.
