Traveling with Children - traveling alone with children

Question
I am a single mother of 6 and 8 year old daughters. My girls really want to go on a cruise. I am considering a 3 or 4 night Baja cruise in March to see how they like it. I am wondering if many single parents cruise with their kids and how successful it is. And also how cold it is in March on a Baja cruise. Thanks.

Answer
There are many singles that travel with children, so you will have no problem meeting other people both married and single.  Cruising is always a great way to enjoy the company of others, or to simply find a quiet place and enjoy the time away from everyone and everything.

I would recommend a Carnival cruise as they have an excellent childrens program aboard that your girls would enjoy.

Weather...that is a tricky one.  Typically the weather is going to be pretty much the same as southern California, which can average anywhere from the mid 50's to the low 70's for that time of the year.

Also please note that if you don't have full custody of your girls you will need to have an affidavit signed and notarized by their father and yourself.  If you have full custody you will need to bring a copy of your legal document showing that you have full custody.

If you would like help with your travel plans, I would be glad to assist you with the booking process.  I do not charge for my services, and unlike the big impersonal travel websites, you get my first hand knowledge and my years of travel experience.

If you would like my assistance, please email me direct as I can't post prices on this website.  Be sure to let me know the dates you prefer to travel and what airport you will be traveling from if you need air.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon :-)
