Question I would like to take my grandaughter to travel with me to Italy. My daughter has sole custody. Husband is encarcerated, she divorced him and married to another man. So last name is different from the child. what kind of documents do I need? Thanks.
Answer First both you and your granddaughter will need a valid passport. Than you will need a signed notarized affidavit showing that your daughter gives you permission to take her daughter out of the country. You should also carry a copy of the custody agreement that shows your daughter has full custody which is why there is no fathers signature on the affidavit.
