Question I have a mini pink weeping cherry tree approx 6 feet tall and 3 years old. recently I noticed the bark is peeling off around the trunk in 2 areas approx 3 inches long, Will this kill the tree and what can I do. Thank You
Answer Without a picture of this peeling It is hard to say. As a tree grows the bark does change from smooth to rougher and will peel starting near the bottom of the trunk. If the foliage is green and full I would say that it is healthy. If you could send a picture (attach it to the bottom of the question). I maybe able to better determine if there is a problem. But from what you have said it sounds normal.
