Question
Hi. I bought an trombone in an antique store in Paris, france.
I just recently looked at it and am trying to find out some history and some guidance on how to find out its' value. The bell has engraving "TRADEMARK BESSONS %26CO LONDON W C H 75983. It is silver.
It is in good shape, but not great shape. i would like to know a aproximation of his value . Also any history of the company would be interesting. Thank you!
Answer Hi Laurent,
Older trombones like yours don't have a lot of value, unfortunately. No one really plays them, so it will be more of a curiosity. For more information on Besson, this is a good site: http://www.horn-u-copia.net/cgi-bin/yabb231/YaBB.pl?board=Besson
Hope that helps.
