Tropical Plants - trimming mussenada

Question
Expert I have noticed my pink mousseanda plant, whenever I trim the plant the branch or stein that is cut, dries further back and eventually dies. How do you trim the mousseanda Plant?
Timothy

Answer
Hi Tim, there is not real science to trimming these, they normally react very well to removal of spent blooms and cutting back of rambling limbs; Spring is the best time to do this, as the tree will fill in quicker and fuller after the pruning. I don't know why yours is showing these peculiarities (dying back), but by the book, it is easily pruned without consequences. Nick
