Question Good morning, would want to know how the valve STC works on the motor cummins
Answer STC is a Step Timing Control valve which allows engine to operate in advanced injection timing immediately after start up and light duty engine lod conditions, and to return to normal timing during medium and high engine load conditions.
The valve allows engine oil hydraulics to power assist the injector plunger during starting to advance injection time and returns to normal during normal running.
