I HAVE A 1998 DODGE DAKOTA 3.9 WITH A BAD FUEL INJECTOR COULD THIS  CAUSE THE TRUCK TO LOSE POWER & WHAT COULD CAUSE THE FUEL INJECTOR TO GO BAD

Answer
Yes, a bad injector can cause an engine to lose power.
injector can go bad as a result of
1. Clogged injector nozzle tip (by carbon deposit)
2. faulty injector components e.g. spring, plunger, tip.
3. poor fuel quality
4. Undue pressure setting.
