I have a small fleet in Nigeria. I wanted to purchase a Freightliner with an N14 engine but was advised by mechanics. I have been advised to get off any engine with electronic diagnosis. Are there reputable repair shops in Lagos? Can I establish email link with you?

The reality of the current situation in Nigeria with regards to proper diagnosis of engines that are electronically managed is that there are not adequate facilities and manpower engaged for a correct troubleshooting of ECMs. Those that are available apart from a few companies that have the facility to troubleshoot own fleets and at high cost, are unreliable and unprofessional.
Except where there is a well equipped manufacturer's representative locally here in Nigeria, I will advise against purchase of electronic managed engines especially second hand ones or so called Tokunbo.
