Question
1997 Volvo with a M-11 Cummins Motor- Why does my truck jerk and act like it is going to shut down?
No warning lights come on fuel in both tanks.  I did have some issues with the fuel draining from one tank and just filling up the other tank.  Got cleaned out and new filters about 3 months ago. Oil pressure does not increase.

Answer
I can offer the following advise.
1 Check the quality of your diesel fuel.
2. Clean your fuel tank or remove sediments in it
3. Maintain an air free fuel system
4. check and clean your air cleaner as well
5. Ensure that the shutdown solenoid functions correctly. Check the resistane of solenoid. If 12 volts, R is 14 ohms, if 24 volts,R is 28 ohms.
