Truck Repair - whats the size of the engine....

Expert: Van - 7/17/2007

Question
my grandfather has a 1964 chevy c-10 truck. Its a four speed, short bed, fleet side truck. He wants to know what is the size of the engine?....all that he has is a number maybe you can tell me what it means.....F0844CCG...Thank you.

Answer
Hello April,
That number doesn't get anything in my searches.
If you believe the engine is orriginal in that truck, go to the public library, in the refference section, and look through the Motors and Mitchell manuals for light trucks for that year, and look in the engine section.
There will even be some pictures.
