Question
Hi, i am 20 now and will be 21 in two months. I was planning to drive coast to coast as a co-driver. Could i still get a citation for driving under the age? My only concern would be at the weigh station where they check my log book and stuff?.. really need money to pay for my college.. no alternatives.

Answer
Hi Joe,

As an Officer in GA, I strongly discourage driving a CMV in interstate commerce until you have a CDL. If you were to get in a wreck and someone dies, you will be looking at prison time even if it wasn't your fault. The court will say the wreck should not have happen, because you should not have been there. You will be at fault no matter the condition. Please, it's not worth it.

God Bless, Israel
