Question
I am a new dispatcher for a moving and storage company and was asked the following questions, which I have no answer for...

Do my drivers HAVE to fuel up the same day as the load they haul, or can they fuel up the night before. I was told by a Senior VIP at main office that they MUST purchase all fuel the day of service, not the day before or the day after, however , this doesn't sound logical to me. Do you have the answer to this and any back up documentation I can use to support my case if I am correct about this NOT being correct.
Thank you so much for your assistance,
Shellon

Answer
Hi Shellon, I know of no retulation concerning fueling. This must be a company policy with something to matching expenses with revenue for the load.  I will check further in regulations for you. If you do not hear from me, the answer above will stand.  Good Luck in new job.  J P Long
