What kind of permits, insurance and so on is needed to get started. We already have a 350 dually and a 3  car hauler. I just need to know what kind of paper work needs to be done to get started. Do we need a motor carrier number DOT number ect.. Thanks for any help

Answer
Hi Sonja.

Yes, your going to have a intrastate (if you only plan to run in Florida) DOT number.  I've put a link below where you can research and contact the Florida DOT.

http://www.dot.state.fl.us/mcco/pdf/TruckingManual%20-%206th%20Edition%202006.pd...

You can see if you need an IFTA (or any fuel tax) decal.  You will need proof of insurance also.  If you want someone else to do the legwork, go to a site like www.dotauthority.com and they can do it for you.

Good luck.
