Question
i am to the market projection part of my buisness plan and  i am stuck on how and where to get the  data and research.i seek outside funding so i want it to be as detailed of a plan as i can make it.hoping to get a single axl tractor and a 5-6 car hauler

Hi Charlie.

Contact your state's Department of Transportation and see if they can possibly help you.  They might have some statistics that would help you out.  Finding out how many out-of-state vehicles get registered, or vehicle that left the state, could show potential customers.

Your market will be everything from people moving to cars sold, to auto auctions, to dealers and performance shops.  You will probably have to make a lot of calls and see who can give you some numbers.  Find out how many cars local dealers ship.  How many cars are for sale at the local auto auctions.  How many people move in and out of your state annually. Etc.
