Expertise
I am familiar with most trumpets, cornets, and flugelhorns. I can answer most questions about playing and musicality. I collect, repair, and refinish old horns and have sold over 350 with more than 230 on ebay

Experience
I have played since 1965 and studied with many directors and trumpeters. I have been collecting since 2002 and have over 150 horns in my personal collection. I have done repair and refinsh since 2003 and have done over 500 horns.

Question
Hi Mr Pawul...I have written to you about a week ago for some advise on a trumpet for my son.  I have taken my notes and thought I have decided on which trumpet I would like to get for him.  We took your advise and had him play a variety of trumpets (luckily the store had a good selection, gentez, yamaha, jupiter, blessing) and he choose an eastman trumpet over the others. He said it had a good feel for him. Being that I wasnt the one playing the instrument, I didnt push for him to get another brand. What do you know about this trumpet?  Of course the salesman did a very good pitch. Thank yo so much for your time, the service you provide helps alot of people.

Answer
You are very welcome! The Eastman is made in China, but they are good quality horns. I know it sounds strange but they are made specially for Eastman and are not the normal mass produced Chinese horns that I hate. I have played several and they have a nice sound and good intonation. If he liked it I say he got a good deal.
