AboutMike Pawul Expertise I am familiar with most trumpets, cornets, and flugelhorns. I can answer most questions about playing and musicality. Best of all, if I can't answer it directly I play regularly in five bands and have several "old timers" that are familiar with most things that I am not. I collect, repair, and refinish old horns and have sold over 350 with more than 230 on ebay
Experience I have played since 1965 and studied with many directors and trumpeters. I have been collecting since 2002 and have over 150 horns in my personal collection. I have done repair and refinsh since 2003 and have done over 500 horns.

Question I noticed that you have some knowledge of the Harry Pedler "American Triumph" trumpet. I understand it's not worth much, which is perfect since it is in my middle school band inventory. The trumpet works just fine, but I can not find a mouthpiece to fit it. The modern trumpet mouthpieces don't go in far enough and the Bach 3c cornet mouthpiece goes in too far.
Where do I find a mouthpiece to fit it?
Answer Erin, Is it a trumpet or cornet? If it is a trumpet the shank should be the same as a modern Bach. If it is a cornet it will take a short shank mouthpiece. Yamaha uses a short shank and Bach has them. They are a bit larger diameter than a current cornet mouthpiece.
