Trumpet/Getzen Capri Trumpet

Question
Hi,

I've listed this on ebay, and was asked what model # it is.
I know the serial # is A22228.  It has a Harmon Wow-Wow, and two mouthpieces, a Crampon 7C, and a V. Bach 7C.  I'm just wondering if you have any idea how old it might be, and what model it is.  Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

Answer
Terry, The horn dates to 1972 and the Capri is a model 590. They are intermediate level horns but play very well. Getzen has long had the best valves in the industry and the Capri also has the adjusters on the first valve slide for pitch. On Ebay they typically go for somewhere between $125-200. Good luck on your sale!

Expertise

I am familiar with most trumpets, cornets, and flugelhorns. I can answer most questions about playing and musicality. Best of all, if I can't answer it directly I play regularly in several bands and have many "old timers" that are familiar with most things that I am not. I collect, repair, and refinish old horns and have sold over 600 with more than 400 on ebay

Experience

I have played since 1965 and studied with many directors and trumpeters. I have been collecting since 2002 and have over 150 horns in my personal collection. I have done repair and refinsh since 2003 and have done work on over 900 horns.
