37 years playing, conducting, and teaching experience with elementary, high school, college, professional and military bands. Musical Theatre experience includes Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, The Wiz, Once Upon a Mattress, and Guys and Dolls.

Bachelor of Music Education in Instrumental Music, minor in Trumpet Performance, Chicago School for the Performing Arts (formerly Chicago Musical College) of Roosevelt University, Chicago. Studied trumpet with Tom Crown of the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra (and Tom Crown Mutes, Inc.)
