Question Hello can the executor sell the family home at any price without consulting the beneficiaries
Answer That depends upon the Will, and the local law. However, if the Executor commits fraud, or is even just negligent in the sale, then he or she may owe the balance to the other heirs. So it would be VERY WISE to get the other heirs to sign off on the sale prior to proceeding. In fact it would need to take a pretty tolerant buyer to even go through such a transaction since there is a very real possibility that the property could end up on litigation with the buyer stuck in the middle.
If you think an executor is not acting in the interests of all the heirs, then that executor should be removed, or at least warned of the seriousness of their actions. You will need to retain your own attorney to do this. The current attorney is not working for you, but directly for the executor.
