Question We are a party of 4 adults and 5 children and will be visiting Istanbul in June 2010. And want to know how to get to Samos. We will consider a private boat for 3-4 days if not to expensive. Or if there is a ferry service.

Answer Hi Greg ,
You really will need the advice of a good travel agent to deal with this question . There are daily ferries from Kusadasi on the agean coast to Samops but no direct rourte from Istanbul . You would either need to fly or bus toIzmir/ Kusadasi and then make your way to Samos . With such a large group of you you may be able to organise a private minivan and driver from Isytanbul easily but you may also be able to rent a boat from Istanbul to Kusadasi . Depending on your budget these are options you need to work out with a travel agent .
