Question Hello victoria,
i have bought a business in Turkey but am not a Turkish citizen and do not have work permission. if i do not take a wage from the company may i run all aspects of my business legally?
Answer Dear Em,
How much you can do depends a lot on the activities and visibility of the business. You can be officially appointed and act as the manager of the company and claim a wage for this as long as you are not seen to be working outside of this capacity. For example, if your business is a restaurant, you can be present at all times, overseeing the day to day running but you cannot serve customers or work in the kitchen. I hope this is clear enough.
