Question Hi. I am about to leave for a flight to Turkey. I have just noticed that my passport expires at the end of July & friends have told me that I have to have at least 6 months left on the passport in order to enter Turkey. This is news to me! The airline have booked me onto the flight and seemed unconcerned but I am worried about what will happen at the other end. Will they let me through? Thanks, Claire"
Answer Hi Claire,
I've just spoken to the customs police and they have stated that as long as you leave before your passport runs out, you shouldn't have any problems. For future reference, it isn't the airline's responsibility to check details like this unless you specifically ask them for assistance.
Have a safe journey and a great holiday!
