Turkey - Boat from Istanbul to Greece

Expert: Burak Sansal - 7/8/2009

Question
Hi,

Do you know if there is a ferry from Istanbul to Greece?!
Ideally, I would like to go from Istanbul to the Greec Islands but Athens would be fine too.

Thank you so much for your help!!

Answer
Hi,

unfortunately there are no ferries between Istanbul and Greece. If you want to go to the Greek islands, you should go to the Turkish coast (such as Kusadasi, Marmaris, Cesme, Ayvalik, Foca, Bodrum etc) and from there take ferries to the islands.
