I hope you can help me. I am searching internet but cannot find answer.

I have a friend that lives in Turkey that would like to come and stay with me for the winter season. Does he need a Visa to be able to come and stay with me and if so how do I find out how much it will cost

Yes, all Turkish citizens who wants to visit UK has to get a visa before coming there. The problem is not just paying for the visa, which costs between 100-400 Turkish liras depending on the lenght of the stay, but the formalities. The UK Embassy requires lots of documents from Turkish citizens (bank statements, credit situation, family situation, employment situation, return flight tickets, hotel reservations,invitation letter from the person who is calling him in the UK, and so on). And all of this doesn't guarantee a visa because it's at the Embassy's discretion to issue a visa or not. Therefore you have to contact with the UK Embassy in Turkey for more details.
