Question
I was recently awarded a Turkish Government Scholarship to study engineering, i will be travelling from a Caribbean country. What is the level of discrimination against blacks in Turkey? Ill be studing in Ankara, can u give me an average amount on what it costs people to eat daily???

Answer
Hi Andy,

I live in Ankara too. Discrimination level is very low (may be i should say thatthere is no discrimination in general) against blacks in Turkey. Eating cost is variable, it depends on what you will eat and also where you will eat. Eating at university should be cost less than 5 USD per meal (1 USD= 1,5 TL). Eating at average restaurant may be cost as low as 10 USD per meal.

Ready to answer for more questions.

Best wishes,
