Turtles/tortoise

Question
Dear sara, my tortoise has a soft shell and she spends most of her time in her drinking dish. I am concerned as although she is taking about 6hours of sunlight, 1 of which would be direct sunlight, she still seems to have a very soft and fragile shell. I also apply calcium spray to her food but apparently it's not working.

Answer
Hello Kyle,

Turtles usually have a very long process of healing, so it might be hard to notice any bigger changes and improvements during the first days/weeks. But if you are worried about your turtle, you should definitely contact a vet. Maybe she could need a calcium/ vitamin injection.

Best wishes

Sara
