Question If my mother a twin,What are my chance that I will have them.
Answer It depends on whether your mother is an identical or fraternal twin. As far as we know, the chances of having identical twins are completely random and not genetic. An egg splits soon after conception, and you have identical twins! However, there may be a genetic component to naturally conceived fraternal twins. There could be the tendency in a family for some of the women to "super-ovulate," or release more than one egg during a cycle, increasing the chances of conceiving twins. Of course, this can be random, too. So, there's no sure way of knowing if you have a greater chance of conceiving twins, but if fraternal twins run in the family, your chances may be higher.
